Disaster Atlas

Rapid-turnaround impact and exposure products for major events worldwide. Each atlas pairs a source-cited damage register - every asset georeferenced independently of the damage claim - with terrain-derived exposure analysis, so what was reported can be checked against what the ground allows.

How to read these. Disaster atlases are compiled in the days after an event, while casualty and damage figures are still moving. Every number is attributed and time-stamped, and every damage record carries its own georeferencing source, a location-confidence flag and an evidence URL. Exposure envelopes are terrain-derived screening surfaces, not observed inundation or damage extents, unless a page says otherwise. This is a separate track from the Northern Virginia daily data library.
